More Jeremy

Here are a few more pictures of Jeremy and our family! Katelyn loves her baby brother so far. She wants to hold him and look at his hands, feet, body all the time. Every sound he makes she says he is hungry and wants to give him her fruit snacks or her milk. She will be a big helper when we come home as long as she can adjust to sharing her Mommy and Daddy time!

Jeremy can't wait to meet you all! Visitors are always welcome!

New addition

Meet Jeremy Michael Veronie. Sorry for the poor pics. I borught the camera home from the hospital but no cord. These ipod pics will have to do until I get my act together.

Ho ho ho

We went to see Santa this weekend and had everything all planned out. Katelyn was going to tell him what she wanted (baby dolls, a camera, and a tool set) and sit on his lap this year. Well as we got to the man in red she did sit on his lap but would not speak to him. Mom saved the day saying what Katelyn wanted and Santa gave her a doll from a favorite cartoon "Little Einsteins." As we left the fire hall Katelyn asked "where is my camera?" In a few weeks, if you are good Katelyn!

Trick or Treating with a ladybug!

Katelyn had a blast trick or treating! She wore her ladybug costume for most of the day at daycare. It was a fight to get her out of it for dinner. (we were having "worms" and "eyeballs" aka spaghetti and meatballs so we thought it was a necessity to take it off.) She talked about it all Sunday and Monday until the time actually arrived. Now she wants to go trick or treating EVERYDAY! Katelyn only said "trick or treat" at one house but definitely said "thank you" to everyone! She got a lot of candy also...who knew we would get so much from going to 3 houses!

Fall Festivities!

Sorry for the delay in updating the blog.

Here are finally pictures from when we went to the pumpkin patch. It was a great day! Grandma Veronie came with us. There was a hayride, flowers, animals to look at or pet, and even corn to play in. Katelyn and all of us had a great time. Katelyn is still talking about the bumpy wagon ride and making Mommy and Daddy re-enact riding in the wagon while she drives the tractor. (That didn't happen for real but you can't tell her that).

As you can see from the pictures Mommy's belly is getting big...actually it is even bigger now than in the pictures. Katelyn's brother is growing fast. She is preparing for him every day. She talks to Mommy's belly and refers to him as "her baby". She is making plans to get him diapers, bottles, and be a big helper. We hear about that quite often too. She is very excited about her baby brother...we just hope that continues after he actually arrives!

Summer Fun!

It is hard to believe that our summer is coming to an end! Time flies! We have had a busy but fun summer.....we went to the zoo, we went to Explore and More (a hands on play house), ate (I mean picked) blueberries in the blueberry patch, we went to the aquarium, we remodeled the basement, we found out that our little bundle is going to be a BOY, and lots more fun things! Katelyn loved every minute of the fun times, great family, and wonderful friends!! I think transition back to daycare and work is going to be hard on us all! :)

Visiting Family!

Do we need a reason for a party????? NO but it sure makes it easier to get a lot of family and friends together. Grandpa turned 60 and officially retired....soooo...Party time! Aunts, Uncles, cousins, Grandparents, and friends all came to the festivities. It was GREAT!!!

The Washington's (all but Uncle Linwood :( ) came in for a summer visit also. It was great fun to watch the cousins play together. It was very hot some days (100+ degrees) but that didn't stop the fur coats and hats from coming out of the closet for a little dress up time. Leave the girls unsupervised for 10 seconds and see what happens. They also had lots of story time, snack time, and silly face time when Katelyn, India, and Jordyn are together. What fun!!! Wish we lived closer together! :(

Big Girl Bed!

Katelyn has been sleeping in her very own big girl bed for a few weeks now. She is so proud of herself for getting a big girl bed. She picked out her sheets and blanket....DORA and BOOTS! During the day Katelyn plays in, climbs on, and enjoys the "day life advantages" of the bed. At nap time and night Katelyn crashes. She has not gotten out of the bed at all when she wasn't supposed to. She calls for Mommy and Daddy when she wakes up but hasn't ventured out yet. :) She was never told she couldn't...she just doesn't!

In case you are wondering what is going on with the pictures and lack of postings....our camera is broken so our pictures are few and far between right now. We hope to get some more up here for you to see soon!

Summer Vacation has begun!

Well for some of us summer vacation has started. John still has to work everyday but it is much easier since the teachers and kids aren't there to distract him. Katelyn has decided that she doesn't want to sleep in at all so far this summer so she is up every day at 6:30. We tried to teach her time and that she can't wake up until at least 7:00 but that isn't quite working as planned.

Katelyn got John tickets to the Hagerstown Suns game for father's day so we spent sunday at the ball park. It was Katelyn's first baseball game and she loved it. The whole way there she talked about going to a baseball game. She sat in the back seat of the car holding her little glove and ball. She was so excited to see all the players and the people. She lasted without a nap the whole way to the 5th inning!!! I think "dog day" at the ball park helped entertain her! John tried to explain that not all baseball games have dogs running around the stands but she disagreed. Can't wait to see and hear what happens next time we take her and the dogs aren't there.

Scootin and other stuff

Katelyn got a late birthday present.....a scooter! She loves her scooter. She is now like the big kids in the neighborhood. Everytime she hears them outside playing she announces "I have to go scooter!" runs to get her helmet and is out the door.

We also got another present recently. In case you didn't catch Katelyn's shirt in the pictures....She is going to be a big sister! We are expecting Baby Veronie #2 to be making his or her arrival around Christmas time. The doctor said December 23rd but I have a funny feeling that it will be Christmas morning! :)

Trip to Jeanette

A couple weeks ago we went on a trip to Jeannette to see Grandma, Pap, Uncle Justin, and Aunt Jenn. The main reason for the trip was the baby shower for Aunt Jenn, Uncle Justin, and baby but it was great to see all the other family as well. Now we just have to wait a little longer for that baby v to make his big appearance.

Where has our BABY gone?

We can't believe that Katelyn has turned 2! It seems like just yesterday we were watching me get big and fat and anxiously awaiting her arrival. TIME FLIES! Katelyn loved her farm animal party. Before guests arrived she was running through the kitchen saying HI to all the animals on the table cloth. Not to mention telling everyone that her birthday is "in May" since about February. Thank you all for the great company and wonderful gifts! This little girl has it made and she doesn't even realize it!

I don't have pics of the cake and other things right now because I was too busy running around to take pictures of all that good stuff. Hopefully I will be getting some soon. I will try to put some on the blog but I may put some on facebook too so keep your eyes open. :)

Easter (a little late)

I know that this is a little late but here are a few pictures from Easter. Katelyn is wearing the dress that Grandma made her. It was hard to catch her still and looking at the camera but we managed to get a few pictures. Katelyn loved the HUGE Easter egg hunt at Gram's house! Thanks for your help finding eggs again this year Aunt Adrienne!

Spring Break!

We have been on spring break this week and we have been BUSY!

Katelyn got 2 early Easter surpises...one from Grandma and Pap (thank you!)and the other from the Easter Bunny! Katelyn was very excited to hear that he came to visit and left her a basket of goodies. She loved the marshmallow peeps but oh my did they make her wound up! She was also very excited to find all the Easter Eggs that the silly bunny hid around the house.

On one of our other days off we went to the zoo. We got season passes for Mom and Dad so we will be spending a lot of time there this summer! (we would love to take visitors with us too...hint hint hint)

We have a few more days off and then be are back to the grind!
