Sunday Fun

The snow finally stopped! Now we have to finish digging ourselves out of the 20+inches and play a little. As you can see we had Katelyn out in it a few times. Believe it or not, she is sitting up in front of the snow in the outside picture. We shoveled some of the sidewalk so she was sitting on the sidewalk with the deep snow behind her. It looks like she is laying in it but she's not. The other pictures are Katelyn and Daddy bonding. They are dressed for the BIG game and using their remotes to find the right channel.

SNOW! SNOW! SNOW!

We are in the midst of the "biggest December snow ever" No honestly this snow storm dropped enough snow on us to make it the biggest snow storm in December. John measured 19 inches earlier this afternoon. It has continued to snow since then so I would say we are easily at 20+ by now. We decided that since we can't go anywhere today that we would also make it "christmas". Santa came this morning. Katelyn seemed to like the paper more than the gifts. But now that the wrapping paper is gone and the toys are out of the box she loves them all!!! Mom and Dad also had a great time today!

Santa

These pictures are a better indication of our afternoon meeting with Santa.

Meeting Santa

Santa and his elves were at the local fire hall so we had to visit. Katelyn was not a fan, but these are two good pictures that we got. Maybe next year.

Santa's little helper!

Katelyn went to the doctor this week for her 6 month check up. (Yes she is almost 7 months but it was as soon as the doctor could get us in!) Katelyn is doing great! She weighs 16 pounds and is 27 1/2 inches tall. She is slowing down a little in her growth but is very healthy and happy! The santa hat was to help entertain and distract Mom after Katelyn's shots. Hopefully we will get to talk to Santa soon. If so we will definitely post some pics of that. What do you think will she cry, laugh, or pull on his beard? We can't wait to see all of our family and friends in a few weeks over Christmas!

My new hairstyle

What to do with a 7 month old's long hair?

a. push it out of her eyes every 5 minutes

b. put a barette in it that will fall out or she will pull out

c. put it on top of her head to look like Old Faithful

Well, we try them all but "choice C" is the newest hairstyle that seems to work the best. She doesn't seem to mind at all when Mom does her hair. That is as long as she has a toy to play with. Katelyn is also sitting up long enough to play with her toys. A big thank you to Cousin Glo and Cousin Allison for sharing their old toys with Katelyn! She loves them all!!!

Bath Time

Katelyn is on the move but still not crawling. She has mastered rolling and squirming to get anywhere she needs to go. This includes on the changing table and in the bath tub! Katelyn can push herself up on her arms and up on her knees but not at the same time. It is only a matter of time she is chasing Clyde all around the house!
