My birthday practice

As you all know my birthday is coming up next Saturday. I decided that I need to practice all the birthday things that kids do so I am ready for the big show next weekend. Luckily there are some people that think the same way that I do. Aunt Adrienne and Uncle Adam showed up this weekend to help me practice. They brought me presents and CAKE! I had to show Aunt Adrienne where to put it on my highchair. She did but then I just stared at it because she gave me a HUGE piece with lots of icing! I thought i would get in trouble if I touched it but Aunt Adrienne shoved my hand in it. After that I tried to play with it and eat a few bites but I just wasn't hungry for cake. I tried to tell them but they didn't listen. I even gave Aunt Adrienne my full attention when

she was telling me what to do. Mom made me get in the bathtub after I was finished. That was just what I needed "a drink" with my cake. I ate more cake off of my hands, the chair, and the bubbles in the bathtub because I had some water to go with it. I'm clean (for now) and I think I'm ready for the main event next weekend!!! Thanks Aunt Adrienne and Uncle Adam! (I love my turtle sandbox too! The toys are so much fun but the sand feels wierd!)

Spring is in the air!

Katelyn went to her first birthday party last weekend. Happy Birthday Allison! She had a good time but Mom wasn't able to leave her sight. Actually she wouldn't really let anyone else hold her for too long even if Mom was close by. As you can see Gram had the chance to hold "Katie" for a minute or two. Since the weather is getting sunny she also "rolls in style" now. She loves her sunglasses but will only leave them on for about 3 seconds before ripping them off her face. She looks pretty cute in them even if it only lasts for 3 seconds. She is also rolling all over the place at night when she is sleeping. We found her sleeping with her feet propped up

and hanging out of the crib a few nights ago.

I'm walking (kind of)

Here it is! Some of Katelyn's first steps! She can take about 6 or 7 steps without falling. She gets excited when she starts going and then dives into whoever or whatever is close to her. Katelyn won't stand and then walk on her own but once she is standing....it's go/run time! It won't be much longer until she is running all through the house! She is also loving being outside and loving chasing Clyde around. Those 2 are definitely going to be big trouble once she gets more mobile.

EASTER

Katelyn had a great Easter with all of her family in the southeast part of PA. Here are some pictures from the Easter egg hunt at Gram's house. Thank you Aunt Adrienne for helping me find all my loot!! Thank you to the "Easter Bunny" for being sooooo generous with the gifts. Katelyn has more Easter gifts than she knows what to do with. There aren't any pictures of Katelyn in her Easter Dress right now because there was a small mishap on the way to Easter dinner. Katelyn decided that it would be a good idea to get sick in the car on the way there. She managed to "decorate" herself, carseat, Daddy, and a few other things in the backseat while I was driving. Hopefully, this was a 1 time carsick problem and it isn't going to become a trend. After changing her clothes Katelyn was happy, hungry, and ready for some Easter celebrations!

Spring time fun!

Katelyn loves being outside and looking outside. She especially loves it when Clyde is out front of our house because she can call him and see him through the door. As you can see from the pictures these two are definitely best friends! She even picked "DOG DOGs" for her party theme. What an animal lover already.

Katelyn also got a new swing set and sliding board for outside. She likes the slide but is a little unsure of the swing right now. It probably has something to do with the being strapped in thing. Since she is almost walking she is ALWAYS on the go.

Lasagna....YUM! YUM!

Katelyn had her first experience of real people lasagna. Of course she wanted to feed herself and wouldn't let Mom or Dad help! I was smart enough to undress her to a onesie before we started to eat.
